Current trainees and visiting participants remembered the work, philosophy and contribution of the great Zerka Moreno in a short opening ceremony for the themed weekend, 'Healing the Traumatic Wound' taught by Anna Chesner and Jinnie Jefferies.

to walk
at measured pace

one flew,
no space
too great
or dangerously beckoning?
The strength
to look
at others

or rancor
acerbity or hate?
Palpable awareness
of their pain?
Compassion
at their anguish,
joy
at their joy?
Peace in the knowledge
of one’s own
limitations?
Or,
Is it merely
laughter
